For more than 30 years, KWWL-TV dominated the news ratings in eastern Iowa. This video is of the newscast intro from the mid-1980s, featuring anchors Ron Steele and Liz Mathis, meteorologist Craig Johnson, and sports director Bob Hogue.
This featured video clip is from WMT-TV’s switch from black-and-white to color in 1967; the switch was done live as part of Bob Bruner’s 6 p.m. newscast.
